Z-Tec Automation Systems Inc.
Established in 1992, Z-Tec Automation Systems is an industrial automation company that provides custom printing, labeling and monitoring solutions for the forest products industry.
Z-Tec was in need of a website that would accurately reflect the company’s growth while effectively demonstrating the superiority of the company’s product offering.
Firstbase began by modernizing the company’s dated logo. The new design was then incorporated into an innovative website theme.
In contrast to the company’s previous site, their new one is visually appealing and presents a strong message to prospective clients.
Highlights of the new website include an interactive product diagram on the homepage as well as a case studies section that clearly demonstrates the company’s unique capabilities.
A second major branding element required by the company was a promotional flyer relating to their latest product, the WinJet II. This piece was successfully designed by Firstbase and mailed, along with an introductory letter, to members of the company’s target market.

Results
The new brand and website (launched in October 2011) has opened the door to new markets for the company. The database research and direct mail piece coordinated by Firstbase was mailed out to potential customers throughout North America and has helped stir interest in Z-Tec’s unique printing solutions.

Rebranding
Z-Tec’s previous logo (right) needed updating but they weren’t interested in an entirely new look or new colours. Firstbase was able to build upon the existing brand and ended up with a much bolder and modern look and feel (left).
Brochure & Flyer design
A new flyer promoting the company’s WinJet II printing system and a corporate overview brochure were designed.
