Laird Robertson

Business Development

As the Alberta connection, Laird’s over 30 year experience spans operations, marketing, market development, organisational excellence, and business unit management.

Laird’s early years were spent across Canada in the advertising world concluding as Account Director and Strategist with FCB/RR Toronto and Vancouver. Crossing the floor to client side, Laird developed and implemented highly effective strategy, marketing and communications for Cara Operations (Swiss Chalet), Robin Hood Multifoods (Franchise Division), and LePage Adhesives. Returning west, Laird consulted to industry, government and First Nations and did stints with NMI Mobility, now part of Bell Mobility, and the operators of Rent-A-Wreck car rental system.

Laird was an integral player in the internationally recognised successful creation of a highly profitable Stationery Business Unit within LePage and orchestrated the globally unprecedented successful launch of Pritt adhesive and correction rollers in Canada.

As a true-value marketer and people-centric leader, Laird is adept at building corporate foundation and nurturing culture change. Volunteer time is spent on the Loans Review Committee for Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) and as a director with the Synergy Network Business Breakfast Club.

On the personal front he relishes time in the mountains with family and friends and touring western Canada. Outdoor life includes hiking, biking, camping, cross country skiing, running and coffee on the patio. Laird is married and has two teenage daughters – one a globe trotter!
