Shaun Haagen
Marketing Manager
Since he graduated high school Shaun has been working towards a Business Administration Degree while working full-time. He started out working with his hands as a restaurant cook, mill-operator, heavy farm machinery mechanic/laborer, and car detailer. Shaun also spells as a cabinet maker, as well as an excavator and forklift operator.
Putting his business education to the test, Shaun got a job as a salesman at Sears and learned to sell every household item imaginable. Since that first sales job Shaun has been involved in sales and marketing in numerous capacities. This includes selling: apple computers, TELUS TV & internet, POS terminal contracts, and all manner of plastic tanks and accessories. Shaun then switched from selling tangible products to selling: life insurance contracts, segregated funds, and exempt market securities. Before joining Firstbase Shaun was the Sales and Marketing Coordinator for a financial services company.
In his off time Shaun enjoys being outdoors, he played competitive soccer for 15 years and now enjoys kicking the ball around with his friends. In the summer months, if he is not at a beach somewhere, you can find Shaun at a basketball court, driving range, or out camping. Recently, Shaun tried skydiving, and has decided to make that a new hobby.
In all his sales positions and customer service experience, Shaun has lived by a simple motto: “never miss a perfect opportunity to keep your mouth shut.”
